‘Dr. Horrible’ Update
As Warren commented recently to my entry about Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog “I suppose this is just me… but I just went to drhorrible.com and watched it for free again. Is that because I watched it originally when it was for free? I’m not certain, but I know I haven’t paid a single cent for my viewing privileges.” I went back to Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog myself and was also able to watch it again for free. There was no explanation further on the site as to when Joss Whedon decided to allow it to continue being watched for free. And the “master plan” still says, the three acts were supposed to “vanish” as of midnight July 20th. Then I went to Whedonesque.com , the most official independent fan based weblog dedicated to Joss Whedon and his works, to see if there was any information posted explaining the change in Joss’s master plan. Today there is a post which simply says, “Watch Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog in High Definition! Now available on Hulu.” So there isn’t much explanation but I would guess Joss is extending his generosity because of the highly positive reaction it has received. It was number one for quite awhile when it first appeared on itunes and there has even made a fan made spin off on youtube called “Dr. Horrible: The Early Years.”
So I guess I don’t really need an explanation, I am just happy to be able to watch it again and again! Hope you all take advantage of Joss’s generosity too.

I believe that is the plan and it was well planned out indeed. As Joss said, this is an experiment he is trying in order to see if it’s possible to make something with a low budget (but not low quality either) and still turn a profit. And with the reactions its been receiving, I think he’s proving that it is possible. Thanks for your comment.
